Opening Ceremony’s New Handbag Line

featureOpening Ceremony, a New York-based fashion store of the most fabulous dresses, shoes and accessories will step up in handbag field this fall. And hold your breath, the bags will range from $450 to $800 only!

The fashion shop founded by Carol Lim and Humberto Leon and favored by celebrities like Jaime King and Chloe Sevingy, has always launched extremely trendy designs accredited to almost every name in the fashion industry, like Keds and Alexander Wang. Opening Ceremony has recently opened a pop up store in London and it is going to be permanent soon. They have already collaborated with Adidas for capsule collection.

The fashion shop will be launching the handbag line on the occasion of their tenth anniversary and on this occasion they have created a book too (published by Rizzoli, NY), giving a detailed account of its growth since their launch. They have also created a magazine to mark the occasion.

Each bag is named after the location of Opening Ceremony shops, like OCNY, OCLA, OC Ace and OC Tokyo. They will be in three styles, flap bag, tote and mini bucket bag. Colors will range from black, red and orange with contrast piping, like green with olive and orange with red, etc.  

With the launch of handbags, the fashion retailer will bring a still new opportunity for fashion-lovers to explore occasions to wear better and look better! The bags will be launched in a wide range of styles, colors and fabrics, from lunchbox and messenger bags to totes, from red to orange, and from suede to leather. They are understated enough to represent the classy, international clientele of the fashion store. They will be launched this autumn/winter and will hit the stores in August.  You can buy them also at one of the two London pop ups.
